AFC South QBs

We continue our look at the QB situation with the ever fun AFC South

Tennessee Titans:

Ryan Tannehill had another stellar year with 33 TDs and only 7 INTs.  He has been helped by Derrick Henry the best RB in football.  Tannehill is only 32, the Titans should be set the next couple of years

Indianapolis Colts:

With the retirement of Phillip Rivers, the Colts pulled off a big traded in acquiring Carson Wentz from the Eagles.  Wentz regressed his last 2 season in Philly.  Was it lack of offensive line help and skill players, or coaching?  Wentz will be plugged into an offensive with one of the best offensive lines in football.  He will also be coached by Frank Reich who was the offensive coordinator in Philly when Wentz had his most productive seasons.  All the pieces are in place for Wentz to resurrect a once promising career.

Houston Texans:

The Deshaun Watson drama!  I can’t see Watson playing for the Texans again unless Cal McNair fires Jack Easterby.  Easterby who maintains the most power in the organization is not going anywhere, Easterby and McNair regularly pray together.  Is winning McNair’s highest priority?  It is more likely, the Texans trade Watson ahead of the draft. Maybe to the Dolphins who can offer multiple draft picks including the 3rd pick of the draft along with a young QB in Tua.

Jacksonville Jaguars:

Trevor Lawrence is the reward the Jaguars get for losing 15 straight games.  Trevor is a generational QB  who will turn the Jaguars into must see TV.  The tanking for Trevor worked, maybe the NFL should institute a draft lottery.  You see this every year a team will gut their roster to pile up salary cap money and land a top draft pick.  A lottery system is not perfect, but would also add some off season fun for the NFL.  The NFL Network could produce a 1-2 hour lottery show that would draw much higher ratings than their standard off season chatter shows.
