We continue our look at the QB situation with the NFC East where only the Cowboys have an answer
Washington Football Team:
With the release of Alex Smith Washington’s QB situation is murky at best. Will they go with Kyle Allen? Trade for Sam Darnold or Marcus Mariota? Move up in the draft to select a QB?
If Washington wants to repeat they will need an adequate starter to team up with a terrific defensive unit
Dallas Cowboy:
The Cowboys signed Dak to a monster contract, can he deliver? Cowboys have the pieces around Dak and he and the offense looked solid before his season ending injury. He is clearly the top QB in the division, if the Cowboys can improve defensively they are the overwhelming Division favorites in 2021
New York Giants:
Daniel Jones has all the talent in the work he is lacking in consistency. This is his 3rd year which with the current CBA is the career defining year for young QBs. After the season, the Giants will have to make the decision if he is the long term answer and extend to a large contract or move on. As the QB class for 2022 is not highly regarded by scouts, the Giants will probably extend Jones as long as he slightly improves this season.
Philadelphia Eagles:
With Carson Wentz shipped off to Indy, the Eagles have gone all in on Jalen Hurts. The Owner has directed the Front office and Coaching staff to build around Hurts. This means plenty of RPO in the Eagles offense. Look for the Eagles to go heavy on RBs and TEs in the draft.
There are a lot of opinions out there on whether Hurts has the accuracy to be a top stating QB. Time will tell
