2021 NFC North QBs

A lot going on this week; the start of NFL Free Agency, Spring Training and March Madness.  We’ll cover some of that fun later in the week, but today we continue our look at the QB situation with the NFC North

Green Bay Packers:

Aaron Rodgers had perhaps his finest season in his hall of fame career with 48 TDs and only 5 INTs.  He shows no signs of slowing down.  The only question is can Rodgers and the Packers get over the hump and end their 10 year Super Bowl drought.   Look for the Packers to restructure Rodgers contract to sign some defensive help

Chicago Bears:

Bears gave up on Mitch Trubisky after an up and down four years in the windy city.  Matt Nagy and GM Ryan Pace have to win this year and they enter Free Agency with Nick Foles as the starter on the depth chart.  Rumors are the Bears are trying to swing for the fences and trade for Russell Wilson.  The Hawks are unlikely to trade Wilson, so where does that leave the Bears?  The options are limited, maybe Darnold? Mariota?

Minnesota Vikings:

Kirk Cousins is entering into his fourth season for the Vikings.  He is a solid QB throwing twice as many TDs as INTs, but he has not been able to carry a team deep in the playoffs

Detroit Lions:

Lions pulled off a big trade in sending Mathew Stafford to La La Land for Jared Goff.  Goff did get to a Super Bowl with a deep talented Rams team, but the Rams felt he is not the long term answer.  Despite signing Goff to a long term lucrative contract.  Can Goff succeed in Detroit with a less talented team?  The jury is out
